HLW Steyr is a federal public school. It stands for solid education and prepares young people for modern careers with branches such as Design and Digital.
The client
Modern teaching, outdated website
The old website provided information but no longer showed what the school stands for today – of all things, the Design and Digital branch barely featured. Yet the first impression online often decides whether students and parents take a closer look.
On top of that came outdated plug-ins and several external tools that all needed maintaining. And the deadline was fixed: the new site had to be ready before the school year, as information and enrolment run through it.

The solution
01 · A short path for every audience
Together with the head and the school office we worked out who looks for what on the website. The result is a site structure that leads prospective students quickly to programmes and enrolment – and gives parents and teachers current information in just a few clicks.

02 · Simple enough for everyday school life
The website runs on Storyblok, a content system anyone can use without technical knowledge. Old plug-ins and separate external tools are history – everything now runs on one central, secure platform. The school team publishes news, events and announcements itself, without waiting for anyone.
03 · Fast, secure, easy to find
Pages load fast, are optimised for Google and prepared for AI search such as ChatGPT. The new design finally puts what makes the school special front and centre: the Design and Digital branch.

The result
Despite a tight schedule, the new website went live before the start of term. It inspires trust, shows the school's strengths more clearly and makes the modern programmes visible.
Students and parents find their way more easily. And for the head, the office and teachers, the website is no longer a chore but a channel they actively use.
